Where do you land on the map?
Rate 24 short statements about close relationships. The quiz places you on both dimensions, shows which corner you are nearest, and says so honestly when you sit near a border.

Some people reach for closeness, some protect their space, and many do a bit of both. Attachment research describes these patterns along two dimensions. Bondlings turns them into four small characters, so the ideas are easier to remember and kinder to talk about.
Each style is a corner of the same map. Most people sit closer to one corner than to the others, and many sit near a border.
Bondlings describes tendencies in close relationships, not fixed labels for people. The quiz is a self-reflection tool built on published attachment research. It is not a diagnosis, not a clinical test, and it cannot replace a conversation with a licensed professional.
Two questions sit underneath every attachment style
Adult attachment research measures two things rather than sorting people into boxes. Where you land on both gives the style its name.
Attachment anxiety
How much you worry that people you love will pull away, and how strongly you watch for signs of it.
Attachment avoidance
How uneasy closeness and depending on others make you, and how much you prefer to handle things alone.
The research behind the styles
Where attachment theory comes from, what the Strange Situation showed, how earned security works, and which popular claims go too far.

At the end you see your place on both dimensions, the character you are nearest, and how clear that answer is. Near a border? The result says so. No email, no account, and you share it by link only if you want to.

What are the four attachment styles?
Secure, anxious, avoidant and fearful-avoidant. They come from two dimensions: attachment anxiety (worry about being left or rejected) and attachment avoidance (discomfort with closeness and depending on others). Low on both is secure, high anxiety alone is anxious, high avoidance alone is avoidant, and high on both is fearful-avoidant.
Is my attachment style fixed for life?
No. Research on adult attachment treats styles as tendencies that can shift with new relationships, life events and deliberate practice. Psychologists use the term earned security for people who become more secure later in life.
Is fearful-avoidant the same as disorganized attachment?
They are related but not the same. Disorganized attachment is a category from research with infants. Fearful-avoidant is the adult style that combines high anxiety with high avoidance. Many websites use the two words interchangeably; our wiki explains the difference.
Is an attachment style the same as an attachment disorder?
No. Attachment styles describe everyday differences in how adults handle closeness. An attachment disorder is a clinical diagnosis made by professionals, mostly in children. If you are worried about a diagnosis, please talk to a licensed professional.
Does the quiz tell me what is wrong with me?
No. The quiz is a self-reflection tool. It describes tendencies, not flaws, and it is not a diagnosis. Every style has strengths, and no style makes someone a better or worse partner by itself.
